Ladies Who Lunch
Remember Ladies Who Lunch?  PreCovid it was a once a month outing to a local restaurant to chat and eat.  We don’t have to limit it to ladies! If you’re interested in starting this up again, let Paula know.

Tie Down the Sun this year?
The Winter Solstice will be here soon (December 21). Is it time to get back to one of our old traditions? “Tie Down the Sun” is an old Norwegian ritual performed on the winter solstice to call for the return of light on the longest night of the year. It is a  celebration of the power of community and the cycles of life. Attendees meet at the fireside behind the building with a ball (not a skein) of natural-fiber yarn for each person and songs, poems, readings to fit the season for a 45 minute outdoor ceremony.  The kitchen will be open for a potluck afterwards.  This event needs a coordinator.  Contact UUSRFon65@gmail.com to volunteer.
