Service for July 5: “The Autoimmune Disease of Democracy”

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 am as Maureen Ash presents “The Autoimmune Disease of Democracy.”

In this service, Maureen will explore the role of the First Amendment—the right to freedom of speech—and how it has historically supported independence and freedom. She will also consider how freedom of speech is being interpreted and applied today, including ways that may threaten or undermine democratic life.

We invite you to join us for learning, reflection, and conversation as we ask: How do we balance the protections of free speech with the responsibility of sustaining democracy?

All are welcome.
