August 3 Community Readings – This is an informal gathering. Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite reading, poem, song or other writing to share. Optional activities for children will be available. Poetry Club will meet after the service.
August 10 “Climate Action and Resiliency Initiative” – Mark Klapatch-Mathias – Mark will present Hope for Earth’s Climate Action & Resiliency Initiative which was developed through meaningful conversations and feedback from Earth Fest and other community events. Learn about the focus areas our community has prioritized, discover opportunities to engage, and explore how we can work together for a more sustainable and resilient River Falls. Optional activities for children will be available.
August 17 “My Challenging Path to Curiosity” – Jenelle Ludwig-Krause – Jenelle is the Executive Director of GROWW (Grassroots Organizing of Western Wisconsin), and she will share how stepping up for a part time, short term organizer role is transforming her life and imagination of what is possible in this world. Optional activities for children will be available. Poetry Club will meet after the service.
August 24 Summer’s End UUSRF Potluck Picnic! – Join us for the End-of-Summer Potluck Picnic on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 10:30 AM—a joyful alternative to our usual Sunday Service. Let’s gather outdoors to share food, friendship, and creativity. Coffee, water, paper plates, cups, and silverware will be provided. Just bring yourself, a dish to pass, and if you’re inspired, a song, poem, or music to share with our UUSRF community. Let’s celebrate the season together with good food and even better company. All are welcome!
