Earth Fest

UUSRF is sponsoring a table at Earth Fest 2025 on April 26 from 12 – 4 at the University Center on the UWRF campus. We’ll be focusing on the Interdependence Value in our presentation. Dietrich Bonhoeffer Conversation at the Congregational Church

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a pastor and theologian in Germany during World War II. He was also an anti-Nazi dissident who was a founding member of the Confessing Church movement, a group that resisted efforts by the government to use churches as a pro-Nazi force to gain support and legitimacy for its goals. Eighty years after his death, Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s wisdom and witness continue to inspire especially in times of political upheaval. Join Dr. Lori Brandt Hale to discuss the lessons from Bonhoeffer that offer guidance and hope and challenge us to take responsibility for the coming generation. The event will be Tuesday, April 29, at 6:30 pm. Dessert is included. Please register at the Congregational Church 110 N. 3rd St., River Falls or online: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054BA9AD29A4FF2-55052453-learning

Are you interested in becoming a member of UUSRF?  A New Member Recognition will be part of the service on May 4. Contact Ann Leake (annleake001@gmail.com) if you would like to join or wish more information on the benefits and responsibilities of membership.

UU Property Update

Work prepping Jens’ Garden is scheduled for April 27 and May 4 after the service and May 3 from 10 -12, weather permitting.  All gardeners are welcome. And as of this week, there will be a bee hive in the northeast corner of the property (past the shed).  Stop by, but not too closely, to welcome the 10,000 new creatures into the UUSRF family.
