Some Were Neighbors: Lessons from the Holocaust

Some Were Neighbors: Lessons from the Holocaust event – March 4 from 5:30-8:00 PM at the Stillwater, Minnesota Library.

Some Were Neighbors examines the choices of ordinary people–neighbors, friends, and co-workers–during the Holocaust. Using historical images, film, and stories, this program explores how silence, complicity, and inaction shaped the lives of millions. It invites us to reflect on our own roles and responsibilities in today’s communities.

Why it matters:
This is not just about history. It’s about us:

How do we respond when we witness injustice?
What role does dissent play in a democracy?
How do decisions shape the integrity of our communities?

Benefits to our community:

Spark meaningful dialogue
Recognize and challenge prejudice and exclusion
Strengthen values
Inspire neighbors to use their voices for actions

This event is presented by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, brought to you by the Stillwater Human Rights Commission, and hosted by Eckberg Lammers and Stillwater Public Library.
